Job description
As a Microsoft Security Consultant, you’ll work closely with clients and Quisitive team members to assess risk, design solutions, and implement security technologies across the Microsoft platform.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with clients to understand their business objectives, security concerns, and risk management priorities.
- Assess Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud security environments and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Design and implement Microsoft security solutions across identity, endpoint, threat protection, governance, compliance, and cloud security.
- Configure and support Microsoft Entra ID capabilities, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR), Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Identity Governance.
- Deploy and optimize Microsoft Defender technologies, including Defender for Microsoft 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Defender XDR.
- Implement endpoint management and security controls using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
- Build and improve security monitoring, analytics, alerting, and reporting solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Log Analytics, and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
- Support data protection and compliance initiatives utilizing Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, and sensitivity labeling capabilities.
- Develop automation and operational efficiencies using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and related technologies.
- Deliver trusted advisory services while helping clients increase security maturity and operational readiness.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in cloud security, Azure security, Microsoft 365 security, or related security consulting roles.
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft security technologies.
- Previous consulting, client-facing or MSP experience
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and identity security best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender security solutions and threat protection technologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Log Analytics, and security monitoring concepts.
- Knowledge of governance, compliance, data protection, and risk management practices.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for learning and sharing knowledge.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working for a Microsoft partner, systems integrator, managed services provider, or security consulting organization.
- Expertise in Exchange, Active Directory, hybrid identity, or modernization projects.
- Advanced Microsoft Sentinel, detection engineering, incident response, or SOC experience.
- Experience with PowerShell automation, Microsoft Graph, or Azure Automation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, DLP, and data governance solutions.
- Experience with Zero Trust, vulnerability management, cloud security posture management, or network security.
- Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500, MS-102, or equivalent Microsoft security certifications.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year, * 401(k)
