Job description

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Python-based applications and automation frameworks supporting front-office trading systems.
  • Develop Python solutions for trading workflows, trade processing, market data, and financial applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office users, Traders, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver technology solutions.
  • Support and enhance applications related to Sales & Trading workflows, including order management and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Develop and maintain API integrations and automated solutions for trading applications.
  • Work with UI and API automation where required to support trading system functionality and reliability.
  • Analyze application issues, troubleshoot defects, and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in functional, integration, and regression testing of trading applications.
  • Ensure solutions meet business requirements, performance expectations, and applicable controls.
  • Work within an Agile development environment and participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous integration activities.
  • Develop technical documentation and maintain clear documentation of application functionality and processes.

Requirements

We are seeking a Python Developer with strong Fixed Income Trading experience to develop, enhance, and support applications used within front-office Sales & Trading environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python development and a solid understanding of Fixed Income and Derivatives products, trading workflows, and front-office trading systems., * 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Python.

  • Strong understanding of Fixed Income Trading and front-office Sales & Trading environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with Fixed Income and Derivative products, including:
  • Bonds
  • Swaps
  • Caps & Floors
  • Swaptions
  • Strong understanding of trading workflows and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Experience developing or supporting front-office trading systems.
  • Strong experience with Python scripting and application development.
  • Experience with REST APIs and API integrations.
  • Experience with UI and API automation.
  • Strong understanding of financial market data and trading system integrations.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and software development practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting Sales & Trading applications within Capital Markets.
  • Experience with Fixed Income trading platforms, order management systems, or market data systems.
  • Knowledge of OTC Derivatives and associated trading workflows.
  • Experience working directly with Front Office Traders or Sales teams.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and trading application automation.
