Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and support high-performance Front Office trading applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, financial markets, trading systems, and low-latency application development while working closely with Front Office traders, quantitative analysts, business users, and technology teams., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications supporting Front Office trading platforms.

Develop and enhance trading applications, pricing engines, market data services, and order management systems (OMS).
Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts, business analysts, and technology teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
Build APIs, microservices, and backend services for real-time trading and market data processing.
Optimize application performance for low-latency trading environments.
Integrate applications with market data providers, trading platforms, and financial messaging systems.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support for Front Office applications.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and release activities.
Develop automated unit tests and support CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Ensure code quality, scalability, security, and compliance with enterprise development standards.

Requirements

7+ years of professional Python development experience.
Strong expertise in Python programming and object-oriented design.
Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Strong knowledge of multithreading, multiprocessing, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQ.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Domain Experience

Strong understanding of Capital Markets and Front Office Trading.
Experience supporting trading desks, electronic trading platforms, or market data systems.
Knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivative products including:
Swaps
Caps & Floors
Swaptions
Bonds
Experience working with real-time market data and trading workflows., * Experience working in investment banking or capital markets.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
Exposure to distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
Experience with financial messaging protocols or trading APIs is a plus.
