Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and support high-performance Front Office trading applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, financial markets, trading systems, and low-latency application development while working closely with Front Office traders, quantitative analysts, business users, and technology teams., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications supporting Front Office trading platforms.

  • Develop and enhance trading applications, pricing engines, market data services, and order management systems (OMS).
  • Collaborate with traders, quantitative analysts, business analysts, and technology teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
  • Build APIs, microservices, and backend services for real-time trading and market data processing.
  • Optimize application performance for low-latency trading environments.
  • Integrate applications with market data providers, trading platforms, and financial messaging systems.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support for Front Office applications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and release activities.
  • Develop automated unit tests and support CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, security, and compliance with enterprise development standards.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional Python development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python programming and object-oriented design.
  • Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, multiprocessing, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
  • Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MQ.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Domain Experience

  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets and Front Office Trading.
  • Experience supporting trading desks, electronic trading platforms, or market data systems.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income and Derivative products including:
  • Swaps
  • Caps & Floors
  • Swaptions
  • Bonds
  • Experience working with real-time market data and trading workflows., * Experience working in investment banking or capital markets.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
  • Experience with financial messaging protocols or trading APIs is a plus.
