Job description

Designing and developing 3D CAD models for air induction systems radiator shrouding and other HVAC systems for DENSO programs and products. Determining critical engineering dimensions for design and/or design modifications. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, practical tolerances, compliance with standard procedures and design manufacturing requirements of finished drawings. Developing design efficiency tools for the department, and introducing Knowledge Based Modeling 3D methodology, enabling quick and on-time updates for all designs. Serving as a non-managerial, technical-only project leader for New Technology Integration for Model-Based Engineering (MBE)/3D annotation, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) standard dimensioning for all HVAC & engine cooling components. Leading New Technology Integration projects for Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) development using AUROS software, working closely with all customer groups, to fully utilize the system.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor* - Mechanical Engineering or a related automotive engineering field of study.

Experience: Five (5)* years in the position above, as a Designer or Design Engineer, or in a related automotive thermal systems design role.

Experience must include each of the following:

Five (5) years with the design and drafting of automotive components, including producing and modifying complex 3D models using CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, and using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Four (4) years as a Project Leader for New Technology Integration for Model Based Engineering (MBE) and 3D annotation, including developing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) standard dimensioning.
Three (3) years using Knowledge Based Modeling 3D methodology to develop multiple components and using Polyworks Eco System Model Based Inspection software implementation.

*Will accept equivalent foreign degree; will accept diploma in above fields of study and five (5) years of relevant experience; will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
