Job description

We’re building a category-defining product in a space that has remained largely untouched by modern software and AI. Our team is lean, highly technical, and deeply focused on engineering, data science, and product execution. We’re now looking for our first dedicated UI/UX Designer to help shape the product experience from the ground up.

The Role

This is a high-ownership product design role - not a support role. You’ll design the experience across both customer-facing and internal operational tools used by property managers, portfolio owners, and our internal team. Your work will directly impact user trust, conversion, usability, and product adoption.

Key product areas include:

  • Property Owner Portal

Owners receive estimated savings reports, review appeal information, sign authorization documents, and track appeal status. You’ll design flows that simplify complex processes and improve conversion.

  • Property Manager Dashboard

Property managers connect their portfolio systems and manage appeal pipelines, savings estimates, property eligibility, and reporting in one centralized interface.

  • AI-Generated Appeal Packages

Our platform generates customized valuation analyses and appeal documentation. You’ll help design how complex data and legal-style outputs are presented clearly and professionally.

  • Brand & Marketing Experience

We’re modernizing a traditionally outdated industry. You’ll help establish a visual identity that feels trustworthy, intelligent, and enterprise-ready.

  • White-Label Enterprise SaaS

A major roadmap initiative involves offering LPT as a white-label platform for enterprise real estate groups and portfolio operators. Your design system will need to scale across multiple brands and clients.

What You’ll Work On in the First 90 Days

  1. Audit existing user flows and identify friction or conversion drop-off points

  2. Redesign the owner authorization and onboarding experience end-to-end

  3. Build a scalable design system supporting both LPT branding and white-label deployments

  4. Design core portfolio management dashboards and operational workflows

  5. Establish visual consistency and product design standards across the platform

Requirements

Have 4+ years of product or UI/UX design experience

  • Have strong experience designing end-to-end SaaS workflows, not just polished screens

  • Are highly proficient in Figma, component systems, auto-layout, and developer handoff

  • Can thrive in fast-moving startup environments where iteration speed matters

  • Understand the difference between designing consumer experiences and B2B operational software

  • Communicate clearly through design documentation and async collaboration

  • Are comfortable working remotely with distributed teams

AI-Native Design Workflow (Required)

We are an AI-first company, and we expect design workflows to reflect that from day one.

You must already be comfortable incorporating frontier AI tools into your daily workflow for ideation, prototyping, UX iteration, research, documentation, and developer collaboration.

This includes experience with tools such as:

  • Claude

  • Codex / OpenAI tooling

  • Cursor or AI-assisted IDE workflows

  • Claude Design

  • Google Stitch

  • Other emerging AI-native design and prototyping tools

We value designers who actively stay current with rapidly evolving AI tooling and can identify practical ways to improve design speed, quality, experimentation, and collaboration through agentic workflows.

The expectation is not “using AI occasionally,” but operating comfortably in an AI-accelerated product environment.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with fintech, proptech, legaltech, or workflow-heavy enterprise software

  • Familiarity with real estate or property management systems

  • Experience designing mobile-first enterprise products

  • Experience contributing to product strategy, UX research, or conversion optimization

Tech & Product Environment

  • Next.js

  • React

  • AWS Amplify

  • AI/ML-powered workflows

  • Enterprise SaaS architecture

  • White-label platform design systems

About the company

LowPropTax is an AI-powered property tax appeal platform built for institutional-scale real estate portfolios. We integrate directly with property management software, analyze properties using AI-driven valuation systems, and identify over-assessed assets that may qualify for tax reductions.
