Healthcare IT Manual QA Tester

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst / Manual Tester to support enterprise Medicaid modernization projects. The selected candidate will work with the Project Management Office (PMO) to perform manual testing, validate business requirements, document defects, and ensure the quality of enterprise healthcare applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)., * Translate business and technical requirements into detailed test cases and test scenarios.

• Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases for functional, regression, smoke, usability, and boundary testing.
• Validate application functionality and identify software defects.
• Participate in defect triage, retesting, and issue verification.
• Maintain requirement traceability between business requirements and test cases.
• Create QA documentation, testing reports, and status updates.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, and senior QA team members.
• Follow established SDLC and QA best practices throughout project delivery.

• Must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate to South Carolina before the start date at their own expense.
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business, Healthcare, or a related field (equivalent experience may substitute for education)., * Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Business, Healthcare, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience translating business requirements into test cases and test scenarios.
• 2+ years of manual software testing experience, including:
• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Smoke Testing
• Usability Testing
• Boundary Testing
• 3+ years of healthcare industry experience, preferably Medicaid or healthcare operations.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills., * 2+ years supporting enterprise or large-scale business systems.
• 3+ years using QA tools such as:
• Jira
• Azure DevOps
• TestRail
• Similar test management tools
• Experience working in both:
• Waterfall SDLC
• Agile development environments
• Technical or Project Management certifications are a plus.
