Job description

As an Automation Integrator II, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless operation within the oil and gas sector, leveraging your expertise to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automation systems from a strategic remote location. What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor automation systems remotely from the Integrated Operations Center (IOC) in Midland.
  • Troubleshoot PLC and instrumentation issues in live facility environments.
  • Collaborate with field operations, engineering, and IOC teams to resolve system anomalies.
  • Support commissioning and startup activities, ensuring efficient and safe production.
  • Serve as the primary automation interface, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution between various operational teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in oil & gas automation systems.
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting skills within live production facilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and process control.
  • Experience with commissioning and startup of automation systems.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley controllers and FactoryTalk software.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and remote environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Prior experience with similar production facilities outside of oil & gas.
  • Additional automation or control system certifications.
  • Experience with other automation platforms or software.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on automation experience, preferably within oil & gas or similar industries.

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to work on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.
  • Willingness to be based in Midland, TX, and perform field work when necessary.
  • Professional certification in automation or control systems is a plus.
