IT Specialist

· The IT Specialist will be a contributing team member of the Information Technology group, servicing the Shaft Drillers International family of companies. The IT Specialist will assist the Director of Information Technology with the support and administration of IT functions, hardware, software, and end user support.

· The successful candidate will have versatile experience in Support, Administration, IT Infrastructure, Mobile/Communications, and Security.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner to clients in person and via telephone.

· Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

· Must possess a valid Driver’s License

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related field ; however, candidates with professional experience will be considered if experience demonstrates the ability to perform the tasks listed in the position’s job responsibilities section

Professional IT Experience:

• Three to five years of progressive IT related experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to be physically seated for long periods of time in a standard issue desk chair

· Ability to work more than 40 hours in any given week including weekend assignments when required

· Ability to visually tolerate prolonged exposure to computer screens, mobile device (phones, tablets, etc.) screens

· Reading documents and materials in hard and soft copy form (either naturally or with corrective lenses)

· Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident which includes within and around locations and when required to climb and descend stairs to access available exits

· Walking, stepping, climbing stairs to access or otherwise move from one location to another which normally involves walking within and around locations and when required to climb and descend stairs to access areas as required

· Visually seeing equipment operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)

· Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing or sitting for long periods of time

· Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work

· Working at elevated heights

· Lifting up to and including 50 lb. objects as required

· Carrying up to and including 25 lb. objects as required

· Occasionally working outdoors in all-weather conditions, * IT support: 1 year (Preferred)
