Job description

The Aerospace Manufacturing Estimating Assistant supports the Lead Estimator and Customer Program Manager by assisting with quotation activities, cost analysis, customer communications, and administrative functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term career in aerospace manufacturing, estimating, customer program management, and operations., * Review customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and supporting documents.

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates based on customer drawings, specifications, materials, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Obtain pricing and lead times from material suppliers and outside processing vendors.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Maintain quotation files, records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Support customer correspondence and order processing activities.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data within company systems and databases.
  • Assist with reporting, posting, reconciliation, and administrative tasks.
  • Provide front office reception support as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, coordinating with customers and suppliers, and learning how products are manufactured. Prior estimating experience is not required. We provide training for candidates who demonstrate strong aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to learn., * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional attitude and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability and willingness to learn technical manufacturing and estimating processes., * Experience in manufacturing, purchasing, customer service, administration, accounting, or estimating.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Access.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or ERP environment.

U.S. Citizenship Requirement U.S. citizenship is required due to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance.
