Job description

We are seeking a Mitigation Technician . In this role, you are the frontline hero helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and property emergencies. You will perform hands-on containment, demolition, extraction, and restoration while capturing project data digitally.

You need to be a driven individual, looking to grow, and earn more . In fact, if you are working towards saving for a new vehicle, house, or anything else, this job will help you get there faster! You can work additional hours and receive OT pay. And, we want team members who care - show up on time (or early!), take pride in their work, and naturally give 100% effort in everything, and want to help.

This isn’t just a daily labor job - it is a launchpad. We expect technicians to master project scopes rather swiftly, run jobs self-sufficiently without hand-holding, and position themselves to advance into Lead Technician or Production Manager roles, if that is desired., * Daily Execution: Arrive at the shop by 6:30 AM, load up the van with necessary gear, and hit the road with your partner by 6:45 AM in company vehicle.

  • Site Work: Complete 1 or 2 smaller jobs per day, including water extraction, setting up plastic containment/protection, demolition (drywall, flooring, cabinet removal), sewage cleanup, and packouts to PODs.
  • Equipment Management: Transport, set up, monitor, and tear down drying equipment. Clean and unload gear back at the shop dumpster at the end of the day.
  • Digital Documentation: Use mobile apps daily to clock in/out, take site measurements, capture high-quality job photos, and maintain accurate project notes.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in a fair on-call schedule (typically 1 week per month when fully staffed). Respond promptly to emergency after-hours calls to extract water and set up equipment., * Uncompromising Punctuality: You arrive at the Weymouth shop before 6:30 AM ready to work. Showing up late or calling out unexcused does not fly with us or your teammates.
  • Pride in Workmanship: You leave job sites spotless, follow SOPs to the letter, and care about the quality of the work you deliver to stress-free customers.
  • No-Complaints Mindset: Every day brings something different - from high-end home cabinet removal to messy sewage extractions. You tackle it all with a positive, can-do attitude. Every day is something different and new.
  • Team First: You pull your own weight, support your van partner, and step up when the team needs an extra hand during emergency calls. (They aren’t as often as you would think.)

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in water/fire mitigation and restoration preferred. Candidates with strong backgrounds in carpentry, demolition, or skilled construction trades ready to learn restoration are also encouraged to apply.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proven comfort and skill operating power tools (Sawzall, drills, hand tools) for clean, safe demolition.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record and be eligible to drive company fleet vehicles.
  • Tech-Savvy: Ability to comfortably use mobile phone applications for site documentation, photo uploads, and time tracking.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to perform heavy lifting, work in tight spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks (including sewage or dirty environments) safely and efficiently.
