Job description

  • Job Summary: The Technology Coordinator is an entry-level role supporting the day-to-day operations of Denison Ministries’ digital platforms, IT infrastructure, and technology systems. Reporting directly to the Director of Technology & Digital Platforms, this position is designed for someone early in their technology career who is curious, eager to learn, and motivated by meaningful work., * Maintaining and updating Denison Ministries’ websites - including content updates, plugin management, and basic performance monitoring - using WordPress and WooCommerce.
  • Building and deploying landing pages, web forms, and digital assets under the guidance of the Director of Technology.
  • Providing first-level IT support to staff: troubleshooting hardware and software issues, onboarding new laptops, and fielding help desk requests.
  • Working inside CRM and email platforms (ActiveCampaign and others), including list management, tagging, and data hygiene.
  • Supporting cybersecurity practices through user access management, software updates, and adherence to organizational IT security policies.
  • Configuring, maintaining, and tracking an inventory of hardware, software, and office technology across the organization.
  • Assisting with donor database operations including data imports/exports, segmentation support, and basic system integrations. Help implement AI workflows, support internal AI training, and document organizational AI use.
  • Managing digital integrations, third-party tools, and software subscriptions used by ministry teams.
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes, configurations, and system changes.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology & Digital Platforms.
  • Ensure that your performance of the above duties and adherence to the stated responsibilities lends to uniform practices throughout the ministry aligned to the ministry’s sincerely held religious beliefs, faith-based mission, and legal status as reflected in the ministry’s Statement of Faith, its Organizational Playbook core tenets, its Employee Code of Conduct, and its Core Values and Governing Principles and Policies, each as set forth in the ministry’s Employee Handbook.

Requirements

  • Some exposure to HTML, CSS, or basic JavaScript; enough to know what you’re looking at and not panic.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, a CRM platform, or Google Workspace is a plus, not a prerequisite.
  • Strong organizational instincts - you can juggle multiple requests, keep track of the details, and follow through.
  • Clear, professional communication skills, including the ability to explain a technical issue to someone who just wants their thing to work.
  • A genuine aptitude for learning new tools quickly, technology changes fast and you’re okay with that.
  • The ability to help without condescension. Every colleague deserves patient, respectful support regardless of their technical comfort level.
  • Must play well with others. This role touches nearly every team in the organization; collaborative and low-drama is the goal.
  • Basic awareness of cybersecurity principles and safe digital practices.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and where technology is heading, bonus points if you’ve already been experimenting., Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field; or equivalent practical experience., * 0-2 years of professional, internship, or volunteer experience in web management, IT support, digital operations, or a related area.
  • Any hands-on experience with WordPress, a CRM platform, or digital tools - even in a personal or academic project context - is welcomed.
  • A track record of following through, asking good questions, and being someone people like working with.
