Job description

Etsy’s Seller Retention and Engagement Marketing (REM) team is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, data integration, production, deployment, and analysis of seller marketing campaigns. These campaigns provide over 6 million sellers with the support they need to continue to grow their business on Etsy., The Seller Retention & Engagement Marketing Developer will join Etsy’s Seller REM team, supporting the execution of high-quality marketing campaigns for our global community of sellers. In this role, you will build, test, and deploy email, push, and IAM tactics that help sellers stay engaged, informed, and successful on Etsy.

You’ll work closely with members of the Seller REM team, as well as partners across Marketing, Analytics, Product, and Engineering, to bring campaigns to life through thoughtful technical execution. You’ll help ensure templates, workflows, and automations run smoothly and that experiments are set up correctly to drive measurable outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, technically curious, and enjoys translating marketing requests into reliable production builds.

In this role, you will:

  • Build, QA, and maintain email, push, and IAM tactics and workflows for Seller REM campaigns.
  • Implement personalization and dynamic content using HTML, CSS, Liquid, and Litmus for testing.
  • Support the setup and execution of automated Canvases and experiments in Braze.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to template builds, data fields, segmentation, and delivery.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to process improvements that increase speed and quality of production.
  • Stay informed about updates in Braze and other marketing technologies relevant to Seller REM., This request will provide general project support This role is open to all work modes (remote/flex/on-site) This role may extend, depending on the needs of the team, budget availability, and contractor performance The interview process for this role will include a technical screen with the hiring manager and up to two 30 minute interviews (with IC from REM team, IC from REM Ops team)

Requirements

Must Haves: 1) Experience working with a marketing automation platform (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable). Braze experience is a strong plus. 2) Solid understanding of HTML/CSS and conditional logic languages like Liquid. 3) Familiarity with APIs 4) Organized, attentive to detail, and committed to delivering accurate, reliable work.

Nice-to-haves: 1) Comfortable translating campaign requirements into clean, scalable builds. 2) Familiarity with SQL or basic data querying to support QA and troubleshooting. 3) Experience working with segmentation logic or audience targeting strategies. 4) Understanding of email deliverability fundamentals and best practices. 5) Prior experience working on lifecycle or CRM programs for a marketplace or e-commerce platform.
