Job description
Reporting to the Manager of Loss Prevention, the Loss Prevention Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the AWBC Loss Prevention team by ensuring the safety and security of company assets, including associates, facilities, equipment, inventory, data, and intellectual property. This position is responsible for maintaining facility security, supporting operational compliance, conducting investigations, and fostering a safe working environment within the AWBC Distribution Center.
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities

Monitor facility surveillance systems and investigate or audit suspicious activity.

Conduct package inspections for all individuals entering/exiting the facility.

Manage truck gate operations, including logging arrivals and departures and ensuring access points remain secure.

Oversee all facility visitors and ensure proper escort procedures are followed while on company property.

Administer security access for associates, including creating, issuing, and maintaining employee identification badges.

Install and position security cameras and run coaxial cabling as needed.

Manage and distribute truck seals to Shipping and Returns associates.

Manage and distribute store keys for unattended store deliveries.

Review and investigations for unattended store deliveries.

Monitor weather conditions and severe weather threats, notifying operational leadership of potential risks.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with facility leadership and cross-functional teams.

Answer and direct incoming calls received through the facility’s main phone line.

Assist the Corporate Office with investigations for store cases.

Complete reports, documentation, and other administrative duties as required.

Perform additional duties and special projects assigned.
Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent required., * Minimum of two years of experience in Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, Security, or related field., * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.

AS400 experience preferred.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Ability to sit at a desk or computer workstation for extended periods.
-
Frequent use of hands and arms for keyboarding, telephone use, and other repetitive motions.

Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to communicate effectively through speech, hearing, and vision, with or without assistive technology.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch while performing job duties.

Ability to work in a warehouse and distribution center environment with varying temperatures and operational activity levels.
