Job description
- Plan, implement and manage comprehensive security solutions for IT systems and networks based on established security policies, standards and procedures
- Secure, maintain and continuously improve Azure and/or AWS cloud environments
- Monitor network security and the organization’s overall security posture through threat detection, security monitoring and proactive audits
- Identify security gaps and risks through analyses, security assessments and penetration testing, and support remediation activities
- Manage and automate the vulnerability management program, including vulnerability scanning, risk prioritization and remediation tracking
- Design, build and maintain security automation capabilities and SOAR workflows
- Support application security initiatives and promote secure development practices across teams
- Respond to security incidents, support forensic investigations, provide 2nd and 3rd level support for IT security services, and advise teams on security best practices and awareness measures
Requirements
- Experience & know-how: Several years of experience in IT security, including vulnerability management and incident response
- Cloud Security: Hands-on experience securing and maintaining Azure and/or AWS environments
- Security Automation: Experience with vulnerability management platforms (e.g. Rapid7, Nessus, Qualys), SOAR workflows, and security automation
- Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python
- Application Security: Knowledge of secure software development and security testing practices
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network security, SIEM, XDR/EDR, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption technologies, and security monitoring tools
- Personality & Working Style: Self-motivated, analytical, solution-oriented team player with strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Languages & Qualifications: Fluent English; German, relevant certifications, a degree in a related field, and knowledge of ISO 27001, NIS2, or SOC 2 are advantageous
