Job description

Lead Data Engineer Remote UK £100,000 to £130,000 base

I’m working with a high-growth consumer technology business looking for a Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of a modern data platform as the company continues to scale.

The Role:

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys building robust data infrastructure, setting direction, improving engineering standards, and helping a talented team move faster with better quality.

You’ll be working across the full data lifecycle, including ingestion, modelling, orchestration, warehousing and analytics enablement. The role will also involve partnering closely with senior engineering and business stakeholders to make sure data is being used properly to support commercial decision-making.

The team are looking for someone who has:

  • Strong experience in data engineering, ideally 7+ years
  • Experience acting as a lead, senior technical reference point, or mentor within a data team
  • A track record of scaling data platforms in fast-moving product-led environments
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, Prefect or similar
  • Good knowledge of data modelling approaches and modern analytics engineering practices
  • Hands-on experience with dbt, cloud data warehouses, and cloud infrastructure
  • The role is fully remote within the UK

And for the most part with this Lead Data Engineer role, that is it so apply now for immediate consideration.
