Your new company

You will be joining a major public sector programme focused on fraud prevention, risk assessment and compliance analytics. Working within a newly established Agile delivery team, you will help develop and enhance data ingestion and risking capabilities that support the identification of fraudulent Self-Assessment registrations and protect public funds.

This role sits within a high-profile programme delivering large-scale data integration and analytics solutions across a complex enterprise environment.

Your new role

As a SAS Viya Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and deployment of data ingestion, integration and risking capabilities within a modern SAS analytics platform.

Working across multiple data sources, you will help build scalable data pipelines and services that support risk assessment, advanced analytics and business intelligence solutions. You will collaborate with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions whilst driving Agile delivery and DevOps best practice.

The role will involve:

  • Designing and developing data integration and transformation solutions using SAS, Pentaho, Talend and Denodo
  • Building scalable data ingestion pipelines and risk assessment capabilities
  • Working with large volumes of data from multiple enterprise data sources
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Collaborating within Agile and Scrum teams to deliver sprint objectives
  • Troubleshooting complex data and platform issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement and best practice across the team

What you’ll need to succeed Essential

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAS Viya 3.x
  • Experience with SAS 9.4 Data Integration (DI Studio)
  • Experience with SAS Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide
  • Proven ETL and data integration experience within complex enterprise environments
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills
  • Experience with Git and Jira
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams
  • Active SC Clearance
