Job description
- Delivering expert Technical Support to internal sales & marketing teams as well as external customers on our complete product group.
- Advising on correct Automotive applications aligning product with specifications and applications.
- Investigating Technical Product issues, diagnosing root causes and recommending effective solutions.
- Supporting product positioning through delivering Technical Presentations, onsite training and customer engagement.
- Acting as a trusted technical resource across OEM, Distributor and end-user / Workshop
- Maintaining technical documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant industry specifications and classifications.
- Collaborating with colleagues across commercial and technical functions to support business growth and customer satisfaction., Representing products manufactured to stringent OEM standards, youāll receive extensive support to deepen your technical expertise and remain at the forefront of lubricant and additive technology.
Requirements
We are seeking a technically accomplished individual with a strong background in lubricants, oils, additive chemistry or Automotive Engine / Drivetrain related technologies. Able to engage and communicate at all levels and delivering ābest in classā technical support across the aftermarket channels.
Essential Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of technical automotive under bonnet applications
- Knowledge of automotive lubricants would be particularly interesting.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation, specifications and performance data.
- Technical application knowledge across sectors such as:
- Passenger Car Motor Oils (PCMO)
- Motorcycles
- Electric Vehicles (EV)
- Commercial Vehicles
- Marine
- Bicycle
- Agricultural and Off-Highway Equipment
- Good working knowledge of additive technologies including:
- Fuel System Cleaners
- Oil Additives
- Maintenance Products
- Problem-Solving Treatments
Preferred Background
- Academic achievement in Chemistry, Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or a related Engineering
- Genuine passion for automotive technology and vehicle performance.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexible approach to office-based work and customer-facing travel when required.
