Job description
The Data Center Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing projects from master planning to construction. This includes reviewing and representing program directives, providing input on A/E designs, ensuring compliance with Owner requirements, and guiding consultants to meet project goals and design standards. The Structural Engineer will also provide recommendations and problem solve structural issues for our Data Center fleet, including suggesting alternatives to bring the design into alignment with the programs’ objectives., * Utilize structural engineering expertise for design-related activities associated with data center sites or projects.
- Serve as internal consultant, advisor, and authorized representative throughout all project phases.
- Collaborate with stakeholder groups, design consultants, construction management firms, and contractors to execute design and construction contracts.
- Provide engineering guidance and conduct reviews of structural engineering building, foundation and conveyance design and provide constructive feedback, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Contribute to the development of structural engineering guidelines, design standards and specifications.
- Review reports, such as geotechnical, foundation and structural reports and calculations to ensure the requirements are being met.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Peferred: Master’s Degree and Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years with construction for mission critical or data centers.
