Job description
As part of our Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) you will be part of a technology organization that develops and maintains innovative solutions for our client-serving Tax professionals. ATTG professionals will partner with our Tax professionals to develop supporting technology such as digital tools to improve internal operations, development of advanced financial dashboards, visualization, analytics, and reports., This is a hands-on engineering management role for an experienced tech lead who wants to step up without leaving the keyboard. You lead 1-3 teams of 3-6 full-stack engineers, and you are the senior technical authority and the people leader for them: you ship code, set technical direction, and hire and grow the engineers around you. Agentic SDLC has changed the shape of the work. Tasks are now smaller and well-bounded, so a manager’s highest leverage is to deliver directly and orchestrate agents alongside the team rather than coordinate handoffs. The ideal candidate is a strong practitioner who wants bigger impact and is excited to build with agents, not someone stepping back from building.
You will own a mixed environment. Legacy components run on .NET / C# backends and Angular frontends, which you will maintain and modernize. New agentic development is built on a lightweight Python / Node / React stack optimized for fast edit-run-test loops and high agent throughput. You will drive phased modernization from legacy toward the new stack while keeping business-critical components stable., * Lead from the Keyboard (Hands-On Delivery): Contribute code every week using agents; own agent instructions; review pull requests; directly reduce tech debt.
- Route and Deliver Work Across Agents, the Team, and Self: Route work to agents, engineers, or yourself; maximize agentic SDLC; keep coordination lean.
- Set Technical Direction and Own the Stack: Own architecture, roadmap, and modernization across .NET/C#/Angular and Python/Node/React.
- Lead and Grow the Team: Hire, evaluate, mentor, and coach engineers to work effectively with AI agents.
- Champion Engineering Principles and Agentic SDLC: Drive engineering excellence, testing, security, and continuous improvement.
- Verify AI-Generated Artifacts and Uphold Test Automation: Apply verification protocols; maintain merge controls; ensure strong automated testing.
- Monitor Metrics and Run Live Demos: Track engineering metrics and facilitate bi-weekly demos.
- Build Tooling and Automation for Production Support: Improve operational tooling, automation, and runbooks.
- Take Ownership of InfoSec: Remediate WIZ findings within SLA and apply production guardrails.
- Maintain Documentation as Agent Context: Keep documentation accurate for humans and agents.
- Coordinate Priorities and Delivery: Manage sequencing, milestones, risks, and predictable delivery.

- Strong Python / Node / React expertise.
