Deltek Vantagepoint Configuration Specialist

The Deltek Vantagepoint Configuration Specialist is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of the Deltek Vantagepoint enterprise platform. This role partners with business stakeholders across finance, project management, marketing, resource management, and operations to configure system functionality, improve business processes, develop reporting solutions, and ensure data integrity. The ideal candidate possesses strong functional expertise in Deltek Vantagepoint and a deep understanding of professional services business operations., System Administration & Configuration

• Configure and maintain Deltek Vantagepoint modules, including:
• CRM
• Projects
• Resource Planning
• Accounting and Finance
• Workflows
• Security Roles
• User Administration
• Design and implement system enhancements based on business requirements.
• Configure custom fields, hubs, workflows, validations, screen layouts, and business rules.
• Manage system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.

Business Process Improvement

• Analysis and configuration of AR/WIP functionality
• Creation of segmentation for revenue and expenses within the system
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend system improvements.
• Partner with business leaders to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency.
• Document configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead or support process automation initiatives within Vantagepoint.

Reporting & Analytics

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level analytics.
• Create custom queries and business intelligence solutions.
• Support financial, operational, and project reporting requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting data across the organization.

Data Management

• Maintain data integrity across clients, contacts, projects, employees, and financial records.
• Develop data governance standards and validation procedures.
• Support data migration, imports, exports, and system integration activities.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and implement corrective actions.

User Support & Training

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Deltek Vantagepoint users.
• Troubleshoot configuration, workflow, and system issues.
• Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to end users and department leaders.

Integration & Technical Support

• Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors on integrations.
• Support integrations between Deltek Vantagepoint and systems such as:
• Microsoft Power BI
• Microsoft Dynamics
• Payroll systems
• ERP solutions
• Data warehouses
• Participate in testing and validation of new functionality and integrations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of hands-on Deltek Vantagepoint administration and configuration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint modules, workflows, security, and reporting tools.
• Experience supporting professional services organizations, preferably within Architecture, Engineering, Consulting, or Construction.
• Advanced understanding of business processes related to:

• Resource planning
• Accounting and finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
