Job description

  • Manage projects relating to JetBrains’ IntelliJ IDEA including work assignments performed by a team of 8 to 10 professional IntelliJ IDEA Support Engineers.
  • Review and support team members’ progress and oversee timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Perform supervisory tasks including onboarding new employees and supervising their performance, accuracy and productivity.
  • Follow and maintain existing team processes and introduce innovations and improvements to streamline as needed.
  • Oversee resolution of product user problems through email, ticket system, issue tracker, ZenDesk, StackOverflow, Twitter, and other remote assistance modalities.
  • Write technical documents, update and refine FAQs for users; maintain and update the employer’s internal Knowledge Base resource database in resolving issues and problems.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Zendesk?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

  • 5 years of software design experience with Java and JVM-specific tools such as JMC or YourKit.
  • 3 years of experience with:
  • Enterprise frameworks and technologies such as Spring, Tomcat, and similar;
  • Kotlin;
  • SQL and PostgreSQL databases;
  • Java Enterprise Frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate and Thymleaf;
  • Java Applications Servers: Tomcat, WildFly, JBoss and GlassFish;
  • JSP;
  • JVM specific tools including Java Mission Control (JMC), YourKit, JProfiler, jstack and jps.
  • 1 year of experience with:
  • Virtualization technologies such as Docker, WSL or similar;
  • Version Control System Git;
  • IntelliJ IDEA;
  • ZenDesk workflows on triggers, automations and webhooks levels.

Position is based in Waltham MA with 3 days per week required on-site. Travel is domestic and international to attend professional conferences and for team meetings and offsite onboarding of team members. Frequency of travel: 5-6 times per year as needed. Percentage of time: 10% Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
