Terraform Docker Microservices

Requirements

7+ years of Java development experience, including 3+ years building Spring Boot microservices

Strong hands-on AWS experience with ECS, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch
Experience designing and supporting event-driven architectures using Kafka/MSK and distributed messaging systems
Proven technical leadership experience leading cloud migrations, modernization projects, or greenfield application builds
Hands-on expertise with CI/CD, Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK, along with mentoring and code review responsibilities

About the company

Insight Global is looking to add a Lead Java Developer to join their telecommunications client to drive the technical delivery of a cloud migration program. The initiative builds 8 AWS microservices processing ~4M events/day, replacing legacy on-premise middleware with modern cloud-native architecture. The lead will own architecture decisions, code quality, and delivery execution while mentoring 2 offshore developers.
