Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Java Developer to join one of its top financial clients to sit two days a week in either Princeton or NYC. The team this candidate will be the core developer for is the rebalancing team. The candidate will be responsible for both design and development of Java applications for the fixed income platform. The candidate will participate in multiple software development processes including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation. This role is 100% heads down independent coding. In order for a candidate to be successful in this role they should have 10+ years of strong Java experience in designing, developing, testing, and successfully deploying critical and complex projects.

Requirements

10+ years of Java development.

-Highly knowledgeable on multithreading and concurrent systems

-Experience in designing and implementing micro services-based solutions

-Good experience with Spring-based technologies (Spring Boot etc.)

-Experience writing SQL queries and good understanding of data model -Exposure to Cloud, preferably AWS services

-Exposure to Docker containers & ECS

-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or Engineering -Financial background
