Job description

Monitor and maintain AWS cloud services including Glue, RDS, S3, Lambda, Step Function, CloudWatch other AWS services

  • Perform day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for Snowflake data platform workloads

  • Support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) databases including performance tuning, index maintenance and backup validation

  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries across Snowflake and MSSQL environments

  • Build, maintain, and enhance Dynatrace dashboards for application and infrastructure observability

  • Respond to and triage alerts generated from Dynatrace, CloudWatch, and other monitoring tools

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on incidents and document findings and remediation steps

  • Escalate critical issues to development or platform engineering teams with full context and impact assessment.

  • Participate in scheduled shift rotations including nights, weekends, and public holidays

  • Maintain runbooks and operational documentation

  • Support change management processes and assist with deployment validations during off-hours maintenance windows

  • Identify patterns in recurring incidents and raise improvement tickets to engineering teams

Requirements

5+ years of experience in a technical operation, sustain, or platform support role

  • 5+ years’’ experience with AWS services (Glue, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)

  • Experience supporting Snowflake, including query monitoring, warehouse management, and task/pipe troubleshooting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server - query writing, stored procedures, and basic DBA tasks

  • Strong SQL skills for ad-hoc investigation and data validation

  • Experience building or maintaining Dynatrace dashboards and configuring alerting thresholds

  • Solid understanding of monitoring principles - metrics, logs, traces, alerting

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure during live incidents

  • Strong written communication skills for incident tickets and handoff notes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to create the dashboards in Dynatrace

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab

  • Exposure to ServiceNow or similar incident/change management frameworks

  • Scripting experience in Python, SQL, Spark for automation and operational tooling
