Job description

Summary: ATS is seeking a full-time dual certified API 510 and/or 570 and/or 653 Inspector to support our Augusta, GA office. Additional NDT certifications are a plus., * Performs field inspections of tanks, and piping for compliance with standards and regulations, and ensures quality control and compliance.

  • Provides recommendations for repairs and alterations to tanks, pressure vessels, piping and other components.
  • Industrial inspection, operations and maintenance experience.
  • Process improvement experience., * Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power-point, AutoCAD.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment.
  • Performs field inspections of tanks, pressure vessels, and piping for compliance with standards and regulations, and ensures quality control and compliance.
  • Provides recommendations for repairs and alterations to tanks, pressure vessels, piping and other components.
  • Plant engineering or steel fabrication experience.
  • Industrial inspection, operations and maintenance experience.
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to write reports detailing assessments and results.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be a dual certified API 510 and/or 570 and/or 653 Inspector
  • Additional NDT certifications are a plus.
  • Candidate must be willing and very able to work at heights, in confined spaces, outdoors, and at lab, manufacturing and industrial sites.
  • Candidate must be willing to relocate, work odd hours, work overtime, work varying hours and a varying schedule.
  • Must be local or willing to relocate.
