Rate: Negotiable Duration: 12 Months About the Client Our client is a global leader in aviation technology, delivering innovative IT and communications solutions that connect airlines, airports, aircraft and governments worldwide.Operating in over 200 countries and territories, they support the aviation industry through market?leading software, data and communications platforms that improve operational efficiency, safety and passenger experience.As part of their continued investment in AI and digital innovation, they’re expanding their Flight Software Solutions portfolio, developing intelligent optimisation technologies that help airlines reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions and improve operational performance.This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of next generation flight optimisation products within a highly collaborative international product organisation.About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner to join a team responsible for delivering advanced Flight Software Solutions.Working at the intersection of product management, software engineering and aviation technology, you’ll define the product vision and roadmap for a core platform capability that enables multiple optimisation services to work together seamlessly.You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, data science and airline operations teams to deliver scalable, high?performing software that supports airlines in making smarter operational decisions.This is a highly technical Product Owner role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex software platforms, distributed systems and data?driven products while managing a broad range of technical and business stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for a core capability within the portfolio.Define how multiple optimisation services interact to deliver consistent, intelligent and globally optimised operational recommendations.Work closely with engineering teams to define integration strategies, data flows and interface standards across multiple software components.Own the shared data model, ensuring operational data is consistently managed and exchanged across the platform.Define product requirements supporting multiple software versions, airline?specific configurations and scalable deployments.Drive platform scalability, performance and resilience to support increasing customer demand.Define standard methodologies for calculating, aggregating and reporting operational performance improvements.Work with engineering teams to establish monitoring, observability and operational health metrics.Lead release planning, versioning strategy and product lifecycle management across multiple interconnected services.Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, Data Science, Architecture and Airline Operations teams to prioritise product enhancements.Gather customer and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve product functionality and user experience.Ensure product delivery aligns with business objectives, customer needs and long?term platform strategy.Experience Required 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role, ideally in a platform, integration, or data?intensive domain.Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including multicomponent orchestration, versioning strategies, and API contract design.Experience managing products with multiple technical stakeholders and complex dependency landscapes.Ability to translate ambiguous technical constraints into clear product requirements and prioritised roadmaps.Solid knowledge of aeronautics/aviation fundamentals is required.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to operate across engineering, data science, and commercial teams.Nice to have Experience with AI or optimisation?driven products.Hands?on experience with flight optimisation or airline operations.Background in airline operations, avionics, or flight management systems.Familiarity with event?driven architectures and asynchronous execution patterns.Experience defining observability and monitoring standards for distributed systems.#J-*****-Ljbffr
