Job description

Ace Electric is seeking a driven and experienced Operations Manager to lead field operations, project execution, workforce coordination, and operational performance across large-scale electrical construction projects for our Travel Team.

This leadership role is ideal for professionals with experience in:

  • Electrical Construction Management
  • Commercial or Industrial Electrical Construction Operations

As Operations Manager, youll play a critical role in supporting project teams, driving operational efficiency, mentoring leaders, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and at the highest quality standards., The Operations Manager Electrical Construction serves as a strategic operational leader supporting the Tennessee Division Vice President in overseeing daily field operations, workforce planning, project coordination, safety initiatives, and team performance

.

The role includes extensive collaboration with Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership.

Training & Travel

Ace Electric provides a structured 90-day onboarding and leadership training program that includes travel to:

  • Valdosta, GA (Headquarters)
  • Jackson, TN (Division Office)
  • Columbus, OH (Job Site and Training Site)
  • Jackson, MS (Job Site)
  • Atlanta/Covington, GA (Job Site)

Following training, the role will primarily operate from the Jackson, Tennessee office., Field Operations Leadership

  • Lead and support electrical construction field operations across multiple job sites
  • Ensure projects maintain safety, quality, schedule, and productivity goals
  • Coordinate workforce planning and staffing needs
  • Support project teams with operational resources and problem-solving

Project Coordination & Performance

  • Monitor project timelines, manpower, cost performance, and operational efficiency
  • Lead Superintendents and partner with Project Managers to improve execution
  • Provide operational insight and reporting to division leadership
  • Help drive process improvements and operational consistency

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate Superintendents and field leadership
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and professional development
  • Support company HR policies, employee engagement, and performance initiatives

Client & Vendor Relations

  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project success
  • Support customer satisfaction and long-term relationship development
  • Assist with issue resolution and operational communication

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a strong safety-first culture
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and jobsite safety standards
  • Support implementation of safety initiatives and best practices, This role requires regular field presence and the ability to:
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Walk and stand for extended periods
  • Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Wear required PPE
  • Safely operate company vehicles
  • Travel between job sites and regional offices as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in large scale construction, electrical construction, or engineering
  • 3+ years of leadership or operations management experience

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelors degree

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bluebeam
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical plans

Leadership Skills

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making ability

Additional Requirements

  • Valid drivers license with no DUIs
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments
