Job description
- Serving as a leader in the local- and wide-area networking; highly sought by others for advice and guidance.
- Serving as a technical expert on established and ad-hoc project teams providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives on existing and new services to meet both architectural and operational needs.
- Providing expertise in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, and Communications and Network Systems Management
- Providing insight into cutting edge technologies, integrations, and capabilities
- Consulting with other engineers, team leads, or customer stakeholders on requirements, technical direction.
- Providing expertise on, deep knowledge of, and hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Ruckus, Versa, NOM, NetScout and/or related network components or network monitoring and management tools

Requirements
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Lead LAN/WAN Engineer to join our team. As the lead LAN/WAN Engineer, the successful candidate will provide expert design, analysis, research, and operation support to exceptionally complex networking problems and processes. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts., * IAT II (or Industry Equivalent)
- CCNP or CCIE (or industry equivalent)
Education Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in technology or a related field and at least 7 years of related experience. Four (4) years of related experience may be substituted for a degree.
Years of Experience:
- 11+ years w/ High School Diploma
- 9+ years w/Associates
- 7+ years w/ Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years w/ Master’s Degree
- 3+ years w/PhD, * Ability to work onsite in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environment, as required
- Ability to collaborate effectively with government customers, technical teams, and cross-functional partners
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and remain in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to lead and coordinate teams to achieve mission and program objectives
- Ability to manage priorities, resources, and deliverables in a dynamic environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, customers, and stakeholders
- Ability to support program execution, performance management, and team development
- Ability to comply with all security requirements, including handling classified information in secure environments
