Job description

A Field Test Support Engineer’s primary responsibility is to execute test case instructions and report discrepancies, execution and analysis of automated regressions and track daily execution status using recommended tools and techniques in test environments and customer environment (real field). A FSE is also responsible for successful and on time delivery of results, Execute test cases prepared for testing Software builds

  • Perform test case execution and report bugs accurately
  • Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new builds / releases.
  • Write Test cases/scenarios for new features/modules
  • Perform regression and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising on quality
  • Use software tools like dashboards for data capture on a daily basis.
  • Be comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures and providing individual status reports.
  • Raising all failures/doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal and closing the same as per the SLA’s.
  • Lab and test farm maintenance
  • Execute Automated test and analyze the test results.
  • Perform the testing in field to certify the final software build

Requirements

1+ years of Quality Assurance/testing domain experience

  • Experience in the Linux environment
  • Bachelor’s degree within last 12 months in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience in Unix, or experience working with device technologies under development, familiarity with flashing firmware, basic device debugging and familiarity with reading/pulling device logs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience in Embedded and App testing.
  • Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
