Embedded Software QA Engineer

Strategy & Planning: Craft comprehensive test plans, protocol docs, and detailed test cases by evaluating product requirements.

Execution & Automation: Conduct both manual and automated testing across integrated hardware, firmware, and software layers.

Root-Cause Analysis: Diagnose complex defects using command-line utilities, log files, physical probing tools, and electrical/mechanical testing methods.

Reporting & Quality Assurance: Produce precise test summary reports tracking execution trends, defect fixes, and validation outcomes for cross-functional stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware, software, and quality engineering teams to refine test processes and elevate product quality.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) with 2+ years of hands-on embedded testing experience.

Core Test Design: 2-5 years of experience evaluating technical specifications to draft robust test plans and protocol suites.

Embedded System Validation: 2+ years executing manual and automated test strategies across integrated hardware and software/firmware platforms.

Troubleshooting Expertise: 2-5 years performing deep-dive root-cause analysis on system defects and verifying resolutions.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience using command-line diagnostic tools.

Working knowledge of C++ or C#.

Background in FDA-regulated environments or familiarity with medical device filings (e.g., 510(k) submissions).
