Job description

The IT Support Technician provides onsite technical support for T-Mobile Center employees, vendors and guests during events and daily operations. This position assists with troubleshooting hardware, software, network connectivity, telecommunications, and event technology issues while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced entertainment venue environment.

The IT Support Technician serves as a frontline technical resource supporting technology systems throughout the facility and assisting with the setup, maintenance, and operation of technology used during concerts, sporting events, family shows and special events.

Essential Duties:

  • Technical Support
  • Provide onsite technical support for employees, event staff, vendors, and contractors
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, mobile device, telecommunications, and connectivity issues
  • Respond to help desk requests and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Support Microsoft Windows workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
  • Assist users with password resets, account access, software troubleshooting, and general technology support
  • Event Technology Support
  • Provide dedicated IT support during concerts, sporting events, and other arena events
  • Assist with setup, testing, operation, and troubleshooting of event-related technology systems
  • Support ticketing, point-of-sale, wireless connectivity, digital signage, and operational technology as assigned
  • Respond to event-day technology issues quickly and professionally to minimize operational disruptions
  • Network & Telecommunications Support
  • Assist with basic network, Wi-Fi, and telecommunications support under the direction of IT leadership
  • Support network connectivity, switch port activation, cabling, and device deployment
  • Troubleshoot wireless, LAN, and internet connectivity issues
  • Assist with installation and maintenance of network and telecommunications equipment
  • Asset & Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for technology equipment and accessories
  • Assist with deployment, collection, tracking, and replacement of IT equipment
  • Organize and maintain technology storage areas and inventory records
  • Support lifecycle management of computers, mobile devices, and event technology equipment
  • Vendor & Operational Support
  • Assist with coordination of third-party vendors supporting technology systems and events
  • Support implementation of technology-related projects and operational initiatives
  • Maintain documentation, procedures, and technical records
  • Assist with equipment moves, installations, and facility technology projects
  • Teamwork & Professionalism
  • Deliver excellent customer service to all users
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with coworkers, vendors, and customers
  • Contributes to a safe, organized, and productive work environment
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • A minimum education level of: Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, Networking or related field
  • Years of related work experience: 1-3
  • High level knowledge of applicable computer software and hardware.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Microsoft Office Applications
  • Desktop and Laptop hardware
  • Mobile devices and peripherals
  • Basic networking concepts
  • Basic understanding of:
  • TCP/IP
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Wireless networking
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in equipment rooms, under desks, catwalks, and other facility locations as needed.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and event schedules.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Experience supporting live events, arenas, stadiums, convention centers, or entertainment venues
  • Experience with Extreme networking equipment
  • Experience supporting wireless network environments
  • Experience with ticketing, point-of-sale, or event-related technology systems
