Job description

The Enterprise Data Analyst plays a key role in managing, curating, and optimizing client utility data and asset production data to support accurate billing, reporting, analysis, and client delivery. This position blends SQL data operations, client-facing support, and business analysis, serving as a key liaison between Data Quality, Client Program Management, and internal operations teams.

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and usability of client utility billing data and other enterprise data, resolving data-related issues, supporting client data intake, and contributing to the continuous improvement and documentation of data processes, standards, and controls., 1. Utility Data Management & Data Quality

  • Curate, validate, and maintain utility billing datasets (bill, service, charge-level, and production-level)
  • Monitor data ingestion and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies for both client and asset data.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues (missing bills, incorrect charges, mismatches)
  • Partner with Data Quality and leadership to escalate and resolve systemic data issues
  • Maintain data health metrics (e.g., completeness, error rates, expected vs. received bills)
  1. Client Data Onboarding & Ongoing Support * Support onboarding of client data, including intake, transformation, and validation * Ensure data is standardized, complete, and aligned with internal models and rules * Act as liaison between Client Program Management and Data Quality for issue resolution * Respond to client inquiries and participate in discussions regarding billing data and discrepancies * Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve onboarding and ongoing data issues

  2. Operations & Process Execution * Support operational workflows for billing validation, correction tracking, and issue resolution * Contribute to cross-functional efforts to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy * Ensure consistent execution of business rules and workflows across datasets * Assist in preparing datasets for reporting and downstream operational use

  3. Data Governance, Documentation & Continuous Improvement * Document processes, business rules, and standard operating procedures * Maintain data standards, definitions, and governance controls (traceability, auditability) * Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and efficiency gains * Support development of reporting, dashboards, and analytics to monitor performance and data quality through SQL, PowerBI and other reporting languages/tools.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Data-driven problem-solving?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in data operations, business analysis, or similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience working with structured datasets and data validation processes
  • Effective communication skills with ability to explain data issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment, * Experience with utility billing data, energy markets, or similar transactional datasets
  • Familiarity with data platforms and languages such as Power BI, SQL/Redshift, or Power Platform (PowerApps, Dataverse)
  • Experience supporting client-facing operations or resolving client data issues
  • Exposure to data governance frameworks and QA/QC processes
