Java Software Engineer - Contract, Inside IR35

Digital Skills are working with a leading brand, working in Digital travel and online commerce. The client are updating their systems and require a core Java Spring engineer to work on their Back End. You will be working as part of a team, helping to engineer finance and payments systems, modernising them in line with bast practice for new integrations., This is a remote requirement - however the idea candidate will be able to get in to Manchester at least twice per month. You will be working for a global brand who are going through expansion and upgrades. They need you to help develop the Back End, working in an agile way and working within a IaaS using AWS DevOps.

For this role, you must be a solid engineer with excellent skills in:

• Java
• Spring Boot
• AWS DevOps
• Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code using TypeScript and AWS CDK

Nice to have include:

Python, Node Js and data experience using Apache Spark.

The client are undegoing expansive change, upgrading their cloud platform to a modern AWS platform, whilst also migrating to SAP HANA. Whilst this role is not an SAP role, the Back End is effected by these upgrades, particularly for connectivity and data purposes.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience, there is no need to have any managerial experience, however you must have solid communication skills.
