Citrix Infrastructure Engineer

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Citrix Infrastructure Engineer on behalf of our client in Birmingham, AL. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise Citrix environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Cloud/DaaS, NetScaler ADC, Windows Server administration, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure automation. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to deliver a highly available and secure virtual desktop experience for end users., Design, deploy, administer, and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments. Manage Citrix infrastructure components including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, WEM, PVS, MCS, and Citrix Cloud/DaaS. Configure and maintain Citrix policies, machine catalogs, delivery groups, and user access controls. Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and capacity to ensure an optimal user experience. Troubleshoot complex Citrix, virtualization, and Windows infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis. Administer Citrix NetScaler ADC, including load balancing, Citrix Gateway, SSL certificates, authentication, and secure remote access. Support Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services. Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or cloud-based virtual environments. Implement and maintain profile management solutions, including FSLogix and Citrix Profile Management. Support security initiatives including patch management, vulnerability remediation, MFA integration, and infrastructure hardening. Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate system administration, monitoring, and reporting tasks. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system architecture documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support infrastructure projects and production operations. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Citrix environments. Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD). Experience with Citrix Cloud and/or Citrix DaaS. Experience administering Citrix NetScaler ADC. Strong Windows Server administration experience. Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms. Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Citrix Certified Professional (CCP) or Citrix Certified Expert (CCE) certification. Experience with FSLogix and Citrix Profile Management. Experience implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and enterprise security controls. Knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning. Experience supporting large-scale virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments. Technical Skills
