Job description

Experteer Overview As a Software Engineer on the Rotary Training Solutions Blackhawk simulator, you will drive software development across the full lifecycle to deliver high-fidelity training systems. You will translate requirements into robust C/C++ components for real-time, safety-critical applications, and contribute to system verification and documentation. Working with a cross-functional team, you’ll apply standards and tooling to ensure quality and compliance while supporting program objectives. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge simulation technology and mission-focused outcomes. Compensation / Benefits * Plan, coordinate and execute software development activities * Design, code, test and debug C/C++ components for real-time or safety-critical apps * Develop and run unit/integration/system tests and document results * Translate requirements into specifications and design documents * Contribute to SDLC phases from requirements through production handoff * Ensure deliverables meet quality and compliance standards * Prepare development documentation and operating instructions * Collaborate across teams to understand system capabilities and controls * Travel domestically up to 30% Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 5+ years of experience * Experience with C/C++ for real-time or safety-critical systems * Scripting proficiency ( Bash, Python, or Perl ) * Proficiency with Git and GitLab for source control, CI/CD and pipelines * Ability to produce detailed specifications and test documentation * Familiarity with version control best practices and CI/CD processes * U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance Key requirements * flexible schedules * competitive pay * comprehensive benefits * part-time remote telework * 4x10 hour days * paid time off
