Job description

  • Lead the design and implementation of AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Define cloud platform standards, architecture principles and best practices.
  • Build secure, resilient and scalable cloud-native environments.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption and platform automation initiatives.
  • Lead the development and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines across multiple teams.
  • Improve platform observability through monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
  • Oversee Kubernetes and Docker-based platform implementations.
  • Ensure environments meet security, governance and operational compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to DevOps engineers.
  • Contribute to cloud strategy, architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver complex cloud transformation solutions.

Requirements

  • Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience delivering DevOps and platform engineering solutions within AWS environments.
  • Strong expertise across AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda and ECS/EKS.
  • Significant Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience within production environments.
  • Scripting experience using Python and/or Bash.
  • Strong understanding of Git and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and decision-making abilities.
