Job description

As SOC Manager, you will define and lead the delivery of our Cyber Security Operations Centre, ensuring Real Time detection, response, and remediation of cyber threats and data breaches. You will provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders, manage external vendor relationships, and continuously improve our security posture to ensure resilience against evolving cyber threats.

We are seeking a highly skilled SOC Manager with SC clearance to lead and shape our cyber defense capabilities for a prestigious public sector client. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, excel at managing teams, and possess a deep understanding of incident management and threat intelligence, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact., Proven experience as a SOC Manager or similar leadership role within cyber security.

Strong understanding of incident management processes and security monitoring tools.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performing security teams.

Extensive experience delivering threat intelligence and assessment.

Hands-on experience with cyber security solutions such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint detection tools.

Experience managing relationships with MSSPs, vendors, and external agencies.

Strategic mindset with the ability to deploy resources effectively.

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including GDPR, NIS, and NCSC policies.

Familiarity with industry standards such as MITRE ATT&CK, ITIL, and cyber security best practices.

Desirable Skills & Certifications

CISSP, CISM, or equivalent professional cybersecurity certification.

Experience with Cloud Security (AWS, Azure).

ITIL Foundation or similar service management qualification.

Knowledge of vulnerability scanning, patching, and mitigation processes.
