Experteer Overview In this role you lead the Cyber Security Operations Centre for a prestigious public sector client, ensuring real-time detection, response, and remediation of cyber threats. You will provide strategic guidance to senior stakeholders and manage vendor relationships to continuously bolster resilience. Youāll apply threat intelligence and incident management expertise to advance the security posture while operating in a dynamic, remote-enabled environment. This is a chance to shape a critical defense capability with SC clearance. Pay / Benefits * Define and lead the delivery of the Cyber Security Operations Centre * Oversee real-time detection, response, and remediation of threats and data breaches * Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders on security posture and risk * Manage MSSP, vendors, and external agency relationships * Drive continuous improvement of security processes and capabilities * Lead incident management processes and coordinate response across teams * Leverage threat intelligence to assess and mitigate threats * Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and security standards Tasks * Proven experience as a SOC Manager or equivalent leadership role in cyber security * Strong understanding of incident management processes and security monitoring tools * Experience leading high-performing security teams * Extensive experience delivering threat intelligence and assessment * Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint detection tools * Experience managing relationships with MSSPs, vendors, and external agencies * Strategic mindset with ability to deploy resources effectively * Knowledge of GDPR, NIS, and NCSC policies; familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, ITIL, and best practices Key requirements *
