Job description

As a Software Engineer on the Apple Cloud UI team, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of our cloud portal. You will work closely with HI designers, product managers, and other engineering teams to drive projects forward as a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI). You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building exceptional user experiences.

  • Design, develop, and maintain features for our cloud portal using React and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with HI designers to translate designs into functional and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and develop timelines and roadmaps.
  • Act as a DRI for projects, taking ownership from conception to deployment.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of internal frontend tooling.
  • Explore and prototype new technologies, including GenAI, to improve our workflows and products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
  • Experience building complex web applications with a focus on user experience.
  • Experience implementing APIs in user interfaces.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with Node and full-stack development.
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GenAI technologies and their integration into web applications is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
