Job description
The Associate Product Owner supports the Product Owner in executing product initiatives and delivering value to customers. This role focuses on backlog support, requirement definition, and cross-functional coordination, while developing product management skills and domain expertise., * Collaborates with the development team to clarify requirements and gather feedback on work in progress
- Supports the Product Owner in backlog refinement and prioritization activities
- Writes and reviews user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases
- Assists in coordinating with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate updates
- Participates in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Helps track sprint progress, identify blockers, and escalate risks or issues as needed
- Supports validation and testing efforts to ensure requirements are met
- Documents product requirements, decisions, and updates to maintain alignment across teams
- Assists in gathering and summarizing customer feedback and product performance insights
- Conducts research on market trends, customer needs, and competitor products to support product decisions
- Stays current on relevant tools, technologies, and Agile best practices
- Performs responsibilities that regularly involve in-person collaboration based on business needs, with reasonable accommodations provided in accordance with applicable laws,.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in product, business analysis, project coordination, or Agile environments
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to product lifecycle or software delivery
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification (nice to have, not required)
