Technical Product Owner

The Finance Data Pool is Allianz’s strategic data foundation for finance, bringing together financial data from multiple source systems into a harmonized and scalable data warehouse. It supports accounting, reporting, analytics, and future data-driven finance capabilities across Allianz entities.

As a Technical Product Owner, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering Finance Data Pool products and capabilities. You will act as the bridge between Finance business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions that can be implemented efficiently and sustainably.

You will work closely with Finance experts, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Architects, SAP specialists, and Testing teams to ensure business requirements are transformed into high-quality products that deliver value and support Allianz’s finance transformation journey.

This role combines product ownership, functional leadership, and technical understanding. It requires someone who is comfortable discussing finance processes with business stakeholders and technical implementation details with engineering teams., * Drive the delivery of Finance Data Pool capabilities from idea through implementation and release.

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
• Define and maintain product roadmaps together with business stakeholders and technology teams.
• Ensure product increments deliver measurable business value.

Translate Business Needs into Technical Solutions

• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders and Business Analysts to understand and refine requirements.
• Convert business requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements are understood consistently across all delivery teams.
• Act as the primary functional and technical counterpart for development teams during implementation.

Lead Functional Solution Design

• Define functional processes, data requirements, transformation logic, and integration needs.
• Challenge and improve requirements to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Support architecture and design discussions from a product perspective.
• Ensure consistency and standardization across Finance Data Pool products and solutions.

Support Agile Delivery

• Lead refinement sessions and backlog discussions.
• Provide guidance and clarification throughout implementation.
• Support sprint planning, demonstrations, and release activities.
• Manage dependencies, risks, and delivery challenges across multiple teams.

Ensure Quality and Business Readiness

• Work closely with testing teams to define testing scope and acceptance criteria.
• Support integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployments.
• Validate that delivered capabilities meet business expectations and quality standards.
• Ensure business readiness and stakeholder adoption.

Engage Stakeholders

• Build trusted relationships with Finance, Accounting, Reporting, and Technology stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams.
• Communicate priorities, decisions, and implementation impacts effectively.
• Support rollout and adoption activities across Allianz entities., When we do work with recruitment agencies, that engagement is formalized by a contract. • Several years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Solution Architect, Lead Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Finance processes and finance data.
• Proven experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience working with Agile delivery teams and product-based delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Finance & SAP Knowledge

• Strong understanding of finance business processes and data structures.
• Understanding of accounting, reporting, and financial data integration processes.
• Ability to bridge Finance business concepts and technical implementation.

Technical Background

• Understanding of modern data platforms, data integration, and analytics environments.
• Experience working with data engineering teams and data products.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and integration patterns.
• Understanding of APIs, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data environments and DevOps practices.
