Job description

Experteer Overview As Vice President, Lead Software Engineer at Morgan Stanley, you will steer software delivery for critical financial services applications. You’ll collaborate with product owners and senior leaders to plan, prioritize, and decompose work, ensuring secure, maintainable, and reliable code. You’ll champion modern development practices and regularly review squad output while exploring new technologies to stay ahead in a complex banking environment. This role offers cross-functional impact, cloud-enabled architecture, and opportunities to influence technology strategy in Alpharetta. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and decompose work for deliverables * Plan, prioritize, and oversee software delivery across squads * Implement engineering methodologies focusing on information security, data privacy, maintainability, and reliability * Engage with cross-functional senior leaders for progress reporting and escalation management * Provide constructive code and design reviews to squad members * Research and evaluate new software technologies and tools to stay current * Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week Tasks * Bachelor in Computer Engineering * 5+ years in a related software engineering or programmer/analyst role * Proficiency with: Java, JUnit, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate * Experience with Docker and Kubernetes * REST services, OAuth2, AngularJS, Redis * IBM DB2; Cloud technologies including AWS Cloud and Private Cloud; microservices architecture; banking and financial domain Key requirements *
