Experteer Overview In this role you will develop motion planning software for robotic manipulation in packing applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-efficiency solutions for constrained packing scenarios and real-world deployments. You will optimize algorithms for diverse object geometries, collaborate on collision avoidance and packing density, and verify software on physical robots. You will stay current with motion planning and perception advances and contribute to high-quality, maintainable code. This opportunity offers hands-on impact in a robotics-focused setting and regular cross-site collaboration. Compensation / Benefits * Develop motion planning software for packing-focused robotic manipulation. * Deliver scalable solutions for tightly constrained packing scenarios in real deployments. * Design, select, and improve motion planning algorithms for packing and spatial arrangement. * Address challenges in collision avoidance, packing density, and efficiency. * Debug, test, and verify software on physical robotic systems in dynamic environments. * Stay updated on advances in motion planning and packing optimization and apply them pragmatically. * Participate in code reviews and team discussions to ensure code quality. * Monitor and apply advances in perception and robotics to current challenges. Tasks * Master’s degree in computer vision, robotics, computer engineering, or related field, with 2 years in robotics software development; or Bachelor’s degree in these fields with 5 years in robotics software development. * 2 years of hands-on experience debugging real-world robotic systems. * 2 years of experience with Python and C++. * 2 years of experience in a Linux-based environment. * 1 year of adapting motion planning for 6-DoF industrial robotic arms. * 1 year experience with ROS, OpenRAVE, MoveIt, or equivalent frameworks. * Travel willingness for at least 5% of time.
