Java Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, build, and support secure, scalable Java-based enterprise applications in a financial services context. You’ll primarily work on backend development with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle DB, and microservices, delivering reliable solutions for critical business workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and tech stakeholders across the full SDLC and contribute to maintainable, secure code. The role offers hands-on ownership with opportunities to interface with frontend components when needed. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks * Build and enhance RESTful APIs supporting enterprise processes and service-to-service integrations * Develop backend business logic, data access layers, and integration components using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle Database * Write secure, maintainable, and testable code aligned with standards * Work with Oracle SQL, schemas, stored procedures, indexes, constraints, query optimization, and transactions * Participate in design discussions, API contract definition, documentation, code reviews, and planning * Troubleshoot issues across dev/test/prod, perform root-cause analysis, and performance tuning * Support reliability, monitoring, and operational readiness for financial services systems * Collaborate with product owners, QA, DevOps, architects, and other developers to deliver business value * Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives) * Identify opportunities to improve code quality, automation, performance, and delivery efficiency * Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Tasks * Solid backend engineering experience in enterprise applications * Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs * Experience with Oracle Database and SQL * Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design * Familiarity with Agile development practices * Ability to troubleshoot across environments and ensure production readiness * Understanding of security, data integrity, and regulatory considerations in financial services Key requirements *
