Job description

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks
  • Build and enhance RESTful APIs that support enterprise business processes and service-to-service integrations
  • Develop backend business logic, data access layers, and integration components using Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle Database
  • Write clean, maintainable, secure, and testable code aligned with team standards and enterprise engineering practices
  • Work with Oracle SQL, database schemas, stored procedures, indexes, constraints, query optimization, and transaction handling
  • Participate in application design discussions, API contract definition, technical documentation, code reviews, and implementation planning
  • Troubleshoot application issues across development, test, and production environments
  • Support application reliability, availability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness for financial services systems
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and architects to deliver business value
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve code quality, automation, performance, and supportability
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

We are seeking a hands-on engineer to design, build, enhance, and support secure, scalable enterprise applications. This role will focus on backend development using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle Database, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate can work independently on well-defined features, collaborate with business and technology stakeholders, and contribute to reliable, maintainable solutions that support critical business workflows across the full software development lifecycle., * Solid backend engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Oracle Database

  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle in an enterprise environment
  • Engineering mindset that prioritizes reliability, performance, security, and data integrity
  • Ability to partner effectively with product owners, analysts, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams
  • Strong sense of ownership for assigned features from design through implementation and issue resolution

Desired skills:

  • Familiarity with Angular or other modern frontend frameworks
  • Experience in banking, lending, payments, risk, compliance, or broader financial services technology environments
  • Experience with Spring Security, OAuth/OIDC, JWT, or API gateways
  • Experience with containerized or cloud-native deployment environments such as Kubernetes or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with messaging or event-driven patterns using technologies such as Kafka or IBM MQ
  • Experience with observability tools such as Elastic, Grafana, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines
