Job description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Ruby on Rails Developer to design, build, and maintain robust full-stack web applications. In this role, you will lead backend logic development, manage central databases, and ensure top performance across all user-facing services. You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to turn business requirements into clean, production-grade solutions.

Core Responsibilities Write Code: Design, build, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable Ruby code. Develop APIs: Construct secure, RESTful APIs for frontend consumption and third-party integrations. Manage Data: Optimize database schemas, query performance, and data modeling using ActiveRecord. Build Tests: Implement automated unit and integration test suites using RSpec, Capybara, or FactoryBot. Optimize Performance: Identify and fix bottlenecks, memory leaks, and application performance errors. Maintain Security: Integrate authentication/authorization protocols and address software vulnerabilities. Handle Background Tasks: Set up background job processing queues using Sidekiq or Resque. Collaborate: Participate in Agile ceremonies, continuous integration sprint reviews, and peer code review

Requirements

Framework: 4+ years of professional experience working exclusively with the Ruby on Rails ecosystem. Databases: Strong proficiency in relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL using SQL. Frontend Basics: Functional understanding of HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript, and asset compilation. State Management: Mastery of MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture patterns and Object-Oriented Design. Gems & Tools: Prior experience using standard Rails gems like Devise, Pundit, and Webpacker. Version Control: Absolute proficiency with Git workflow commands and cloud hosts like GitHub. DevOps Basics: Experience with deployment automation platforms like Heroku, Docker, or AWS infrastructure
