TS/SCI Software engineer / Cloud Developer

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer/Cloud Developer to support mission-critical cloud initiatives at Patrick Space Force Base. This individual will leverage AWS cloud technologies to design, develop, migrate, and deploy scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building cloud-native solutions within AWS and will work closely with end users and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical recommendations, and deliver mission-focused solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while supporting multiple mission areas. Responsibilities include: Designing, developing, configuring, and deploying AWS cloud-based applications Migrating existing applications and services into cloud-native architectures Implementing AWS best practices to ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency Collaborating directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutions Creating and maintaining technical documentation for system design, deployment processes, and operational support Automating infrastructure deployment and system configuration where applicable Supporting a variety of mission initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve mission objectives

Active TS/SCI Clearance Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of related experience AWS cloud development experience Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers Ability to produce technical documentation Willingness to obtain DoD IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or equivalent) within 80 days of hire

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

AWS cloud migration experience Experience automating deployment and configuration of EC2 instances Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with C2S Access Portal (CAP) Experience working in high-side AWS environments On-site/field support experience Experience briefing both technical and non-technical audiences Experience supporting DoD or national security mission environments
