Safransed is seeking a motivated Embedded Software Engineer intern to join our dynamic team in Granada, Spain. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing embedded software solutions.   • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging of embedded software to ensure functionality and performance meet specified requirements.
  • Assist in the integration of software with hardware components, ensuring seamless operation of embedded systems.
  • Utilize version control systems to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely solutions to enhance system performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems and software engineering, applying new knowledge to ongoing projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and project managers, to ensure project milestones are met., * Programming Languages: C, C++, Python

  • Documentation: Technical writing and documentation tools, This internship position is based in Granada, Spain, and is designed for candidates who are eager to gain practical experience in embedded software engineering. The role may require occasional travel to project sites or client meetings, depending on project needs. Candidates should be prepared to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to various stages of software development. The internship duration and specific working hours will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems concepts and software development principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development tools.
  • Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
  • Basic knowledge of hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment., * Previous internship or project experience in embedded software development.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development practices.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical software development standards such as DO-178C or ISO 26262.
  • Experience with software simulation and modeling tools.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles as they relate to embedded systems.
