Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you architect and implement security systems for Aurora’s onboard vehicle platform and cloud communications. You will lead hands-on development of security capabilities, guide partner integrations, and mentor engineers to raise security and engineering standards. Your work supports Aurora’s safety-driven mission by strengthening the defense of our driver platform. This is a chance to shape security architecture at scale across vehicle and cloud domains. Compensation / Benefits * Design and architect systems to meet Aurora’s security goals within the Safety Case * Lead and implement security capabilities for vehicle and cloud platforms * Drive successful security integration with partner teams and OEMs * Mentor security and non-security engineers and guide cross-functional collaboration * Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and release security processes Tasks * BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience) * Production-quality C++ and Golang coding ability * Effective collaboration with software engineers and cross-functional teams * Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences * Translate product requirements into code and write high-quality tests * Debug across module boundaries; knowledge of cryptographic protocols and security best practices * Ability to lead teams and organize projects to deliver outcomes * Security-specific or security-adjacent experience (minimum 2 years) * Software development experience (minimum 10 years) Key requirements * annual bonus * equity compensation * benefits * hybrid work environment (in-office at least 3 days/week)
