Solution Architect

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions that support federal mission objectives. You will collaborate with program leadership and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into well-architected systems and ensure architectural consistency across the program. You will drive modern engineering practices, including Agile, DevSecOps, and cloud-enabled architectures, to deliver resilient solutions. This position offers the chance to shape technical strategy, standards, and roadmaps for complex enterprise environments. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as the Solution Architect for complex programs, guiding design and implementation of scalable, secure solutions * Define and communicate the overall solution architecture aligned with mission needs and enterprise standards * Collaborate with leadership, product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into designs * Lead design discussions and architecture reviews for consistency and scalability * Evaluate technology options and tradeoffs to inform decisions * Define and promote architecture standards, patterns, and best practices * Guide engineering teams in architecture patterns like microservices, APIs, event-driven and cloud-enabled solutions * Support integration of applications, services, and data across enterprise platforms * Ensure security, performance, reliability, and scalability across the lifecycle * Partner with DevSecOps teams to promote CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code * Develop and maintain architecture artifacts including diagrams and roadmaps * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive delivery * Support continuous improvement of engineering practices and governance Tasks * 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or technical leadership roles * Experience designing and implementing complex software or enterprise technology solutions * Experience defining solution architectures for distributed systems, APIs, and microservices-based applications * Experience supporting cloud-enabled architectures and modern infrastructure platforms * Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments * Experience integrating applications, services, and platforms across enterprise environments * Ability to evaluate technologies and recommend architectural approaches based on technical and mission requirements * Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Experience leading or guiding engineering teams through architecture decisions * Cloud certification (preferred) Key requirements *
